The thing is, he can't just say that it's a marriage! A marriage means one thing, one very specific thing! He can -- call it something else, can't he? Call it... oh, I don't know, say... ah, partnership? Life...lovers? Or just make up an entirely new word! Would that be so hard? At least the Atsirians have the decency to be heretics and blasphemers!
